We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable environment to relax in, after spending the day hiking our local bush walks, playing at the beach or just chilling out at home. You can also enjoy: surfing, kayaking, fishing, watching the sea birds, or just sitting and meditating on the waves. You can sit in the back garden and enjoy the incredible bird song, (morning and night) from a variety of birds who live in the bush behind us.

Our hostel is the perfect place to stay while visiting Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove (a 30 minute scenic drive gets you there!) We have spades, to dig your very own spa hole, at Hot Water Beach.

Jane, John and Anne are exceptionally helpful in assisting you with information on transport and the local area.

Tairua may not be the adventure capital of New Zealand, but it's not called the "Jewel By The Sea", for nothing. Check out our white sandy beaches, climb Mount Paku: our very own extinct volcano, for a wonderful 360 degree view of the sea, harbour, and our twin town, Pauanui. - Your hosts Jane, John and Anne.
